How we check every number

The rules

Each calculator is a rules file: the questions, the points tables and the formulas, written from the official pages. The app and this website both run that file, so they always give the same answer.

  • CRS: IRCC’s own calculator was copied step by step into our tests. 20,000 random profiles were scored by both, and every section matched. The rules were last compared with IRCC on November 6, 2026.
  • Every 12 hours a program on our computer re-reads the official criteria pages. For the CRS it compares 282 values one by one (the criteria rows, all 186 high-wage occupations, and the maximum score) with our rules file, and tells us if anything changed.
  • Where an official page can be read two ways, the calculator says so on the page, under “How sure we are”.

The draws

Every 30 minutes the same program checks the official draw pages of IRCC, British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Manitoba. A new draw is added to the app and this website automatically, with a link to the official notice. The short summaries under each draw are worked out from the numbers, never typed by hand.

RCIP communities

Each community’s grid, priority occupations and requirements are copied from its own published documents, linked on its page, and its pages are checked every 12 hours for changes.
